If you believe Jesus is the Son of God, then you believe all the He tells you and you obey all that He commands you. If you don’t obey, then you don’t believe He is the Son of God.
If you think Jesus is so weak that he could not guide his apostles to bring us the right teaching, then you don’t believe He is the Son of God. If you think Jesus was somehow too weak to get His Word in writing to His Church, then you don’t believe He is the Son of God. If you think Jesus botched the delivery of His Word to His Church and what we have is not trustworthy, then you don’t believe He is the Son of God.
This is the problem with people claiming some kind of weak allegiance to Jesus. They don’t actually believe he is the Son of God. They don’t believe His Word is trustworthy.
Don’t listen to those who do not obey Him in thought and deed.
