One kind of Christian believes everything that Jesus and his apostles taught and obeys everything they commanded.
The other kind of Christian no longer does. They are dealcoholized wines. Something essential has been removed. They have gutted the faith and removed its vital organs. They have been persuaded by unbelievers to drop doctrines and commands. They may give scholarly reasons why they have dropped them, but the faith they practice is no longer the faith of the ages. Their faith is like a burned out house, still standing but empty and charred.
I have many friends who at one time submitted to Christ in everything, but now they no longer do. They submit to the parts that fit most comfortably with the zeitgeist of the USA in 2025.
The only way to find peace and joy in this life is in complete submission to Christ the King.
