Men: It is time to grow up. My message to you is not soft and comforting, but demanding and painful. Think about the men of the New Testament. None of them had an easy life. Not Paul, not Peter, not John, not James the brother of Jesus, not the rest of the twelve. They worked hard and they suffered. Many were martyred for Christ.
The church needs you to grow up and be a man. Don’t wait until you are in your thirties or have children of your own. The church is weak right now. Help us to set it straight. You will find meaning in your life when you labor for Jesus Christ and when you suffer for him.
The world needs you to be strong. Masculnity is not toxic or problematic. Women need your work and sacrifice. Children need your work and sacrifice. Other men need your work and sacrifice. Set an example for younger men, and in many cases, for older men as well.
