John Render Caines Jr. (“J.R.”) is the pastor of East Ridge Presbyterian. This is a Presbyterian Church in America congregation not the Presbyterian Church (USA) which is theologically liberal. J.R. has a Master of Divinity from Covenant Theological Seminary. He is 53, married to Shonda, has three adult children, one son-in-law, and one granddaughter.
